Bolstering Infrastructure for Health Improvement

Healthy communities require active, multi-sector partners and foundational community health resource infrastructure to enable an environment where health and continuous improvement may thrive. WCHEF, through its Resource Bridge, works to connect local health partners and targeted health priorities with funding, partners, education and technical support.

Growing Resources for Community Health

A unique role for WCHEF within Wisconsin’s healthcare landscape is the development of a community health philanthropy network or Resource Bridge and the building of community health resource vehicles that grow flexible community health financial and volunteer resource capacity through partnerships with health systems, insurance companies, community foundations, other foundations, United Way agencies, businesses, financial institutions, individuals and other organizations.

Aiding Shared Statewide Health Priorities

The WCHEF Agenda for Healthy Communities reinforces shared state health plan and other priorities in health. The WCHEF Board of Directors, with the assistance of other health leaders, identify areas of health focus that may benefit most from additional funding and partnership support. The WCHEF Board of Directors and Advisors is made up of representatives from philanthropy, public health, health care, business, insurance, and financial institution professions that work to promote the building of vital partnerships and infrastructure that supports and environment of continuous health improvement.
