Theresa's Fund
As a devoted wife, mother of three children, nurse, quality improvement leader and friend to many in both Minnesota and Wisconsin, Theresa Mees exhibited great spirit and pride toward improving the health and quality of life for all people she encountered. Theresa strived each day to bring people together, lead work to new places with a guiding compass of love and compassion for others.
As a founding board member and health systems liaison to the Wisconsin Community Health Empowerment Fund, Theresa assisted with the development of the organization's mission and vision, which works to grow and focus resources for healthy communities. Throughout her work in Wisconsin she connected many health systems throughout the state to enhanced quality improvement strategies and performance. Theresa was passionate about her ability to assist communities, families and individuals in need with greater opportunities for health — greater opportunities for life.
To honor our friend and fellow community health leader, the Wisconsin Community Health Empowerment Fund has established Theresa's Fund, a Fund dedicated to supporting quality improvement efforts in programs that promote intergenerational approaches to health and wellbeing.
You are invited to join us in the development of Theresa's Fund to sustain her vision of continuous health improvement for Wisconsin’s families. Proceeds from Theresa's Fund are anticipated to provide support to a new or existing project in Theresa's honor. Contributors to the Fund will be recognized annually on the Wisconsin Community Health Empowerment Fund website and by Theresa's family.
